having on national politics. in the last week or so we've seen president obama stumping for creigh deeds in virginia. this race has a clear message -- there's a clear message that the white house is trying to send and that is they want to keep their democratic governors in place. right now, there are questions about whether both the virginia race and, quite frankly, the new jersey governor's race as well may be a referendum for the obama administrati, how they've been doing the first part of this first year. now, you mentioned that most recent richmond poll. if you take a look at an average of all of the major polls that have been done, joe, in the last week and a half or so, bob mcdonnell, the republican in the virginia race, is up by 13 points, in double digits. it's going to be difficult for creigh deeds to catch up. of course, w know from the last presidential election polls don't always tell the story. but this is one where the white house is concerned because we're seeing in virginia independents breaking for bob mcdonnell, at least in the early polling. there was a "washingt
